Fast Aire "Basic" Windshields

Note: We have redesigned the outside corners of the Basic windshield to make it stronger. If you purchase two different windshields and the corners look different, thats why. One is the new design & the other is the older design.

- All of our windshields are manufactured by a Plastics Engineering Company with

15 yrs of experience. They are CNC Laser cut & are shipped with a protective layer on each side of the windshield. The Basic Windshield is cut flat, shipped flat & specifically designed to be formed / curved into the fairing upon installation. It does not cause undue stress on the fairing. Same design we've sold for 9+ yrs. It works great !

Measurement:

- From the Top of the Fairing edge, right above the center screw ... To the Top of Windshield, in the center. That is the measurement. The material that is below the Fairing and not seen, is not included in this measurement. So if you buy a 8 inch windshield, it will be 8 inches above the Fairing.

Material:

- Our windshields are from an impact resistant , poly-resin acrylic material, .118-.122 thick, comparable to material used in aircraft windows and is more scratch resistant than uncoated plain polycarbonate.

Colors:

- All colors are solid colored material, not color coated or a film.

- Light Grey: A light grey tint but it is easy to see thru at night

- Medium Grey: Darker than Light Grey & Lighter than Dark Grey. Its a good compromise between Style and Function

- Dark Grey: Is a transparent dark grey color ... like looking thru a pair of Sunglasses. Easy to see thru during the day, not so easy to see thru at night ... this color maybe too dark at night for some riders.

- Solid Black: Solid color, gloss finish & not transparent.

Engineering:

Fast Aire did all the CAD design & aerodynamic development work then

sought out Plastics Engineering firm to manufacture it for us. Unlike others, we copied no one. We offer a 100% Guarantee that it will fit !

Design:

- The 4 inch has a flat top

- The 6 inch has a rounded top

- The 8 & 9 inch have the same profile

- The 10 inch has a unique profile, it is wider & flatter at the top than the others. It was designed to reduce as much wind as possible but still be only 10 inches tall.

Installation:

Fast Aire's windshield is a direct replacement for the stock windshield,

installs in about 20 minutes using your stock hardware and it comes with

Fast Aire Installation Instructions.

Warranty

Fast Aire Windshields have a 30 day warranty covering manufacturing defects.

The warranty is from the date of purchase.

These windshields are mass produced from large sheets of raw material. The protective covering is applied by the factory and the raw material under the covering is not seen by Fast Aire. The Customer is the first to see the raw material.

Warranty replacement is for the original windshield you purchased.

A reund may be the best solution in some cases

Fast Aire has the final say in all warranty issues / claims

What is covered under warranty:

1- Defective material: Blemishes, color issues, edge chips, cracks under the covering

2- Damage caused by Postal Service (USPS) is always covered

What is not covered under warranty:

1- Installation damage caused by excessive tightening of the mounting screws

2- Damage done by rocks, sticks and other road hazards

3- Dropping the windshield during installation or bending it to see how far it will go

4- Getting drunk & dropping your bike in the garage or by wrecking your bike

5- Various stupid things like your kid hitting it with a hammer... yes its true.

To file a warranty claim:

1- Take a clear & close-up digital picture of the windshield area you're filing a claim for.

Note: Phone cameras do not always take good pictures.

2- Email the picture along with your name, address & a description of the claim to:

info@FastAire.com. Any additional information would be appreciated.

Fast Aire will review all warranty claims in a timely manner. Please allow a few days for the claim to be processed & someone will get back to you.

If needed, you are always welcomed to call Fast Aire & discuss all warranty claims. You will still be asked to submit a picture of the windshield subject to claim.
